Floresville is a city located in Wilson County, Texas, the United States. It lies in South Texas, about 30 miles southeast of downtown San Antonio, 35 miles northwest of Kenedy, and roughly 55 miles southwest of Seguin. Floresville is positioned at approximately 29.134° North latitude and 98.156° West longitude. The city covers about 6.71 square miles, or 17.37 square kilometers, of land. The 2020 Census recorded 7,133 residents, while recent estimates place the population at about 7,500. Floresville stands at an elevation of roughly 400 feet above sea level. The city was established in the 19th century and became the county seat of Wilson County. Agriculture has long been important to the local economy, with peanuts, cattle, hay, and other crops grown throughout the surrounding area.
