Lacy-Lakeview is a city located in McLennan County, Texas, the United States. It lies just north of Waco, about 5 miles from downtown Waco and roughly 95 miles south of Dallas. The city is near the Brazos River and Lake Waco at approximately 31.615° North latitude and 97.102° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 6,988 residents. Lacy-Lakeview covers about 4.18 square miles, or 10.82 square kilometers. Waco Mammoth National Monument is one of the area's best-known attractions. The community formed from the historic settlements of Lacy and Lakeview and developed as a separate municipality in the 1950s. Interstate 35 provides direct access to Waco, Temple, Austin, and the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Its location beside Waco and near Lake Waco is a defining feature of the city. The surrounding area combines residential neighborhoods, businesses, open land, and access to outdoor recreation.
