It is about 30 miles southeast of downtown Houston and around 20 miles northwest of Galveston. Dickinson is located at approximately 29.46° North latitude and 95.05° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded a population of 20,847. The city covers about 10.40 square miles (26.93 square kilometers), including approximately 9.97 square miles of land and 0.43 square miles of water.
