Kennedale is a city located in Tarrant County, Texas, the United States. It lies in north-central Texas, about 15 miles southeast of downtown Fort Worth and roughly 10 miles southwest of Arlington. Kennedale is part of the Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington metropolitan area and is surrounded by suburban neighborhoods, open land, and commercial areas. The city is located at approximately 32.644° North latitude and 97.226° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 8,335 residents. Kennedale covers about 6.53 square miles, or 16.91 square kilometers. The community was established in the late 19th century and developed around agriculture, rail transportation, and local commerce.
