Manor is a city located in Travis County, Texas, the United States. It lies in Central Texas, about 12 miles northeast of downtown Austin and roughly 20 miles southwest of Elgin. Manor is located at approximately 30.342° North latitude and 97.556° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 13,652 residents, and the city covers about 8.81 square miles (22.83 sq km). Manor was founded in the 1850s and incorporated in 1913. The community grew after the Houston and Texas Central Railway reached the area, making Manor an important local center for agriculture and trade. Cotton, corn, and other crops were historically important to the surrounding farms. Today, Manor is a growing suburban community with residential neighborhoods, schools, businesses, and open land. The historic downtown area reflects the city's railroad-era past and includes older commercial buildings and local landmarks. ShadowGlen is a nearby golf and residential development with an 18-hole golf course and recreational facilities.
