Marble Falls is a city located in Burnet County, Texas, the United States. It lies in Central Texas within the Highland Lakes region, about 50 miles northwest of Austin and roughly 25 miles northeast of Llano. Marble Falls is located at approximately 30.578° North latitude and 98.273° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 7,033 residents, and the city covers about 11.75 square miles (30.43 sq km). Marble Falls was founded in the 1880s and incorporated in 1917. The community grew around agriculture, ranching, granite production, and the Colorado River. The construction of nearby dams and lakes later changed the local landscape and helped establish the area as a recreation destination. Lake Marble Falls lies along the Colorado River beside the city and is popular for boating, fishing, kayaking, and waterfront activities. The surrounding Hill Country features granite outcrops, wooded hills, springs, and scenic roads.
