Selma is a city located in Guadalupe County and Bexar County, Texas, the United States. It lies northeast of San Antonio along the Interstate 35 corridor and near the southern edge of the Texas Hill Country. Selma is about 20 miles from downtown San Antonio, 10 miles from New Braunfels, and roughly 30 miles from San Marcos. The city is located at 29.5844° North latitude and 98.3053° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 11,782 residents. Selma covers about 5.2 square miles (13.5 square kilometers), with most of its area consisting of land. Natural Bridge Caverns and the historic Selma Stage Stop are notable attractions in and near the community.
