Sinton is a city located in San Patricio County, Texas, the United States. It lies in the Coastal Bend region of South Texas, about 20 miles northwest of Corpus Christi and 25 miles southwest of Rockport. Portland is about 20 miles southeast, while Beeville is roughly 35 miles west of Sinton. The city is located at 28.0364° North latitude and 97.5092° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 5,133 residents. Sinton covers about 3.2 square miles (8.3 square kilometers), with nearly all of its area consisting of land. The surrounding coastal prairie supports agriculture and cattle ranching, while nearby bays and wetlands connect the area to the Gulf Coast. The San Patricio County Courthouse is a prominent historic landmark in the center of town. Sinton also serves as an important government and commercial center for the county.
