Roanoke is a city located in Denton County and Tarrant County, Texas, the United States. It lies in the northern part of the Dallas-Fort Worth area, about 25 miles northwest of downtown Fort Worth and roughly 30 miles north of downtown Dallas. Trophy Club is around 5 miles northeast, while Keller is about 10 miles southeast. Roanoke is positioned near 33.004° North latitude and 97.226° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 9,767 residents. The city covers about 6.25 square miles, or 16.19 square kilometers. Roanoke was incorporated in 1933 and developed from a small railroad and agricultural community into a growing suburban city.
