Winter Haven is a city located in Polk County in the U.S. state of Florida, United States. The city was established in 1885 and later incorporated in 1911 as a developing community centered around lakes and citrus agriculture in central Florida. Winter Haven grew historically through farming, tourism, and lakefront development before becoming an important residential and recreational center in Polk County. Today the city is widely known for its chain of lakes and as the home of LEGOLAND Florida Resort.
