Opa-locka is a city located in Miami-Dade County in the U.S. state of Florida, United States. The city was established in 1926 by aviation pioneer Glenn Curtiss and was incorporated the same year during the Florida land boom. Opa-locka became known for its distinctive Moorish Revival architectural style inspired by Arabian themes, which remains a unique feature of the city.
