Niceville is a city located in Okaloosa County in the U.S. state of Florida, United States. The community was established in the early twentieth century and was incorporated in 1938 as a small town along the shores of Choctawhatchee Bay. Niceville developed historically through fishing, timber industries, and later residential growth associated with nearby military installations in the Florida Panhandle. Today the city is known for its waterfront scenery, parks, and family-oriented neighborhoods.
