Titusville is a city located in Brevard County in the U.S. state of Florida, United States. The city was established in 1867 and later incorporated in 1873 as an early settlement along the Indian River Lagoon. Titusville developed historically through citrus farming, river transportation, and tourism before becoming closely associated with the space industry during the twentieth century. Today the city is widely known as the gateway to the Kennedy Space Center and plays an important role in Florida’s Space Coast region.
