Destin is a city located in Okaloosa County in the U.S. state of Florida, United States. The community was established in the mid-nineteenth century by Captain Leonard Destin, a fisherman who settled in the area and developed a thriving fishing village. Destin later grew into a coastal resort city known for its white-sand beaches and emerald-green waters along the Gulf of Mexico.
