Since, the island has several beautiful and astonishing natural landscapes therefore the region attracts tourists from all over the world. But the large chunk of tourists in the region comes from Japan. Another source of revenue on the island is due to the presence of United States military base.
The climate of the island is tropical marine; so, the weather is normally hot and very humid and surrounding water bodies keeps annual temperature almost constant, there is very little seasonal temperature variation.
