About Belarus

Belarus is a landlocked country in Eastern Europe, sitting between Russia, Poland, Ukraine, Lithuania, and Latvia. Much of the country is covered by forests, rivers, and open countryside, so even the larger cities tend to feel calmer and less crowded than many other parts of Europe.

The country has a long history shaped by different empires, wars, and cultural influences from both Eastern and Central Europe. Minsk, the capital, is known for its wide avenues and Soviet-era architecture, while smaller regions are filled with lakes, farmland, and old towns that move at a slower pace.
