Cambodia is a Southeast Asian country located on the Indochinese Peninsula, bordered by Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, and the Gulf of Thailand. The country is divided into 24 provinces along with the separate capital municipality of Phnom Penh. Phnom Penh is the national capital and also the largest city in Cambodia.

The country is shaped by the Mekong River and Tonlé Sap Lake, which support farming, fishing, and transportation across many provinces. Cambodia is widely known for the ancient temples of Angkor, but daily life across the country is also tied closely to rice farming, local markets, and river communities.
